APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
Dear Prospective Member
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of Accommodation Cape Town North.
ACTN exists to keep members informed of compliance criteria, and facilitate networking amongst its members.
We have a contact list of all members which is distributed internally for ease of referrals, but it will not be shared to any official or other parties without your express permission. We are not here to ensure your compliance to any regulations, merely to inform you of them to the best of our abilities.
Please complete the application form and return, together with proof of payment of R150 inspection fee to the Secretary at the above e-mail address so that a site-visit can be arranged, during which all your questions can be answered and helpful information can be imparted.
Please note the following terms and Conditions:
1. Accommodation Cape Town North is a non-profit association of members, including hotels, guesthouses, B&B’s and self-catering establishments. The primary goal is to ensure that members conform to certain minimum standards and we strive to uphold high levels of quality in both service and accommodation facilities.
2. We are NOT a booking agency. Any business you derive from your membership will depend on how well you work with your fellow members.
3. Your current membership fee of R980.00 per annum entitles you to the following at no extra cost:
(a) Invitations to approximately 5 General Meetings per annum, where you can network with other members and receive industry-related information.
(b) Regular WhatsApp & e-mails with any booking opportunities, developments, warnings & special offers.
(c) The chance to get referrals from other members.
4. Website – www.actn.co.za
A once-off listing fee of R450 is charged for your listing on the website should you decide to sign up.
5. A once-off fee of R150 will be charged for the site inspection and registration. Please note that this fee covers costs incurred for the visit and is payable before inspection takes place.
Upon inspection, the following must be in place:
(a) Your establishment must be perfectly ready for guests. All rooms will be inspected.
(b) A breakfast table must be set if you serve breakfast.
The minimum requirements as per the attached document must be fulfilled before membership can be given. Please ensure that you meet these criteria before we do the site inspection. If your establishment is not ready and we need to return for a second inspection, a further R150 will be payable.
Once accepted, the pro-rata annual subscription will be due immediately. You will then receive a copy of
our Constitution and Code of Conduct as well as a Contact and Hub list reflecting your details.
